At Omnia Smart Technologies, we are deeply committed to sustainability and the importance of our environment. As a leading fleet management technology business, we recognise our pivotal role in driving change towards a greener future.
Our Carbon Reduction Plan outlines Omnia’s comprehensive approach to reducing our carbon footprint, both within our operations and across our supply chain. We understand that meaningful progress requires transparency, accountability, and collaboration. Therefore, we expect the same high standards from our contractors, suppliers, customers, and other business partners, ensuring that sustainable practices are embedded throughout our ecosystem. This Carbon Reduction Plan is designed to align with PPN 06/21, ISO 14001, and PAS 2060 standards, with a target to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2045. Our baseline year for measuring emissions is 2023.
For the baseline year of 2023, we will use industry averages to benchmark our emissions, understanding that subsequent iterations will involve more accurate and comprehensive data collection.
Scope 1 (Direct emissions):
· Company vehicles
· On-site fuel combustion
Scope 2 (Indirect emissions from purchased energy):
· Electricity usage in offices
Scope 3 (Other indirect emissions):
· Employee commuting
· Business travel
· Waste generated in operations
· Purchased goods and services
· Use of sold products.
To achieve Net Zero by 2045, we have set interim targets for carbon reduction:
· 2025: 15% reduction from 2023 baseline
· 2030: 40% reduction from 2023 baseline
· 2035: 60% reduction from 2023 baseline
· 2040: 80% reduction from 2023 baseline
· 2045: 100% reduction (Net Zero)
Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy
1. Office Energy Consumption:
· We’ve transitioned to energy-saving lighting and HVAC systems and encourage employees to shut down computers and other equipment when not in use. Small changes like these contribute to a larger impact in carbon reduction.
· Transition to 100% renewable energy for all office locations by 2030.
2. Fleet Technology:
· Deploy electric or hybrid vehicles within the company fleet.
· Optimise route planning to reduce fuel consumption.
· Through our core offerings, we assist organisations in transitioning to a Net Zero fleet, indirectly contributing to broader carbon reduction efforts across sectors.
1. Waste Management:
· Implement a robust recycling program.
· Reduce single-use plastics and encourage sustainable office supplies.
· Our environmental attributes, fostered in partnership with our suppliers, include promoting product take-back schemes, advocating for design disassembly, prioritising energy efficiency, urging sustainable material sourcing, reducing our carbon footprint, and emphasising green packaging where possible.
· We prioritise digital solutions, minimising the need for paper and physical resources. This not only enhances our operational efficiency but also significantly reduces our carbon footprint tied to material use and waste.
2. Supply Chain Management:
· While choosing our suppliers and partners, we prioritise those who share our vision of sustainability. By aligning with environmentally conscious businesses, we can amplify our collective impact on carbon reduction.
1. Green Commute Initiatives:
· By offering our employees the flexibility to work remotely, we indirectly reduce the carbon emissions related to daily commutes. This practice has the dual benefit of supporting our team’s well-being and promoting a sustainable work culture.
· For employees coming into the office we encourage the use of public transportation, cycling, and carpooling. We encourage employees to first choice hotels and accommodation with companies driven by stainability.
· We constantly educate our team about the importance of sustainability by providing regular training sessions on sustainability practices and policies.
· Encouraging eco-friendly habits both in the professional and personal sphere ensures our entire team contributes to our carbon reduction goals.
Data Collection:
· Implement a comprehensive data collection system for accurate emissions tracking.
· Use IoT sensors and fleet management software to gather real-time data.
Annual Reporting:
· As an SME, we do not report our carbon intensity in tCO2e/£m publicly. However, we are diligently working on streamlining our processes and aim to increase our transparency in future reports as we grow and further align with sustainability goals. We currently have internal dashboards showcasing our internal efforts to sustainability.
· Omnia review and update our carbon reduction plan annually to reflect progress and new opportunities.
ISO 14001:
· Maintain and continuously improve our Environmental Management System (EMS) in line with ISO 14001.
PAS 2060:
· Commit to achieving and demonstrating carbon neutrality by following PAS 2060 guidelines.
Leadership Commitment:
· Management at all levels are responsible for overseeing the implementation of the carbon reduction plan and for ensuring those reporting to them understand and comply with this plan.
· Assign a dedicated sustainability officer to coordinate initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
· We prioritise those who share our vision of sustainability. By aligning with environmentally conscious businesses, we can amplify our collective impact on carbon reduction

Baseline Year Jan – Dec 2023 and Submission year Jan- Dec 2023
Scope– 1
Given our constrained business operations and processes, and the absence of any owned vehicles, Omnia Smart Technologies registers zero emissions within scope 1. Nevertheless, we maintain a vigilant stance, committed to promptly reporting any emissions should our circumstances evolve in the future.
We are diligently working on streamlining our processes and aim to increase our transparency in future reports as we grow and further align with sustainability goals.
Scope – 2
Head Office – Energy consumption – in 1.17 tonnes CO2 e

Scope – 3
We actively calculate and report on our business’s Scope 3 carbon emissions. Within our Scope 3 calculations, we have incorporated various facets of our operations and activities:
Business Travel: Our business travel accounts for 0.0880 tonnes CO2e. This is primarily linked to the occasional on-site visits to clients, with most of our interactions transitioning to online platforms to minimize travel.
Employee Commuting: This comprises 0.1930 tonnes CO2e. We’ve taken into account the modes of transport our employees use, with a focus on promoting hybrid vehicle use and encouraging remote working to reduce commuting emissions.
Waste Generated in Operations: Currently, this stands at 0.0000 tonnes CO2e, indicative of our efforts to minimize waste and promote recycling.
Upstream Transportation and Distribution: This accounts for 0.0004 tonnes CO2e. While minimal, it captures the movement of goods and services before they reach us.
Downstream Transportation and Distribution: At 0.0050 tonnes CO2e, this component considers the emissions after our goods and services have been delivered, including aspects of the distribution chain where our goods are sent onward to the end consumer.
Our Scope 3 emissions for the baseline year total 0.29 tonnes CO2e. As we evolve, we are continuously working to identify further areas within Scope 3 that might be relevant for our operations and are keen on implementing measures to minimise our impact in these areas.
